We are a district committed to the idea that every child can learn and ensure that our students experience high expectations, along with a rigorous and relevant curriculum. It has been proven that writing benefits students' reading skills, such as comprehension and fluency, and builds overall communication skills, which are traits that all students require in order to be prepared for 21st century life after high school. The Step Up to Writing program is a multi-sensory writing program that can be utilized across content areas and uses an explicit, systematic approach that will propel students forward in the classroom.
