Fourth grade students at Charter Oak will enrich their study of Colonial America, by participating in the three part River Dwellers program at the Connecticut River Museum. The students will read and analyze primary sources, role play and engage in hands- on activities about the exploration and development of the Connecticut River Valley. They will learn how communities and government were established and how relationships evolved over time. The children will also take an excursion on a sailing schooner to replicate the life of early settlers.
