Cartoonist, author, and educator Jamar Nicholas will spend the day with students at Hall and Conard High Schools in order to discuss his life, career path, and his Young Adult nonfiction title, “Fist Stick Knife Gun: A Personal History of Violence illustrating civil rights activist Geoffrey Canada's autobiography” (2010) as well as his elementary-level book “Leon The Extraordinary” series (2022) which features a black superhero. He will also offer a drawing and writing workshop.
