Crystal Maldonado is a wildly successful Latina young adult author. She grew up in Connecticut, and her work has universal teen appeal. She will discuss her work and career trajectory with several Conard High School English classes, who will then select one of her books to read and discuss with their peers. The author will then return to facilitate a follow-up discussion. Students will be engaged by her personal story and the relatability of her work.
