This grant will help establish a collection of appropriate books at Sedgwick Middle School for Language Arts and reading teachers to check out to reluctant readers to help ensure their success. Reluctant readers are at higher risk for not meeting literacy requirements than other students. It is important that these students have access to grade and reading level appropriate books that both match their interests and meet the Language Arts independent reading requirements.
