Third graders at Morley Elementary School will travel to the Mashantucket Pequot Museum as a culminating activity after a year-long study of the culture of the indigenous people of our state. Visiting the museum's galleries and main attraction - a life-like recreation of a 16th century working Pequot village - will bring authenticity to their months of investigations and help them better understand the early history of our state and the contributions of the native people who lived 'by the long tidal river'.
