The Mathlete Club at Conard High School travels to local schools to compete in the realm of mathematics. Students represent the school as both individuals and as a team, using their knowledge from the classroom to stretch their understanding and think outside of the box to solve complex math problems. This grant gives us the opportunity to compete in our local league, which will allow us to qualify for the state competition and give students chances to practice for other advanced tests/competitions. It also gives our students a unique way to represent their school in an academic setting, and the chance to meet their peers from other schools who similarly enjoy math.
