The Charter Oak community is excited to host an in-residence storytelling program featuring internationally acclaimed artist Len Cabral. Mr. Cabral's performances and workshops will bring vibrant African, Cape Verdean, and Caribbean folktales to life, directly enhancing student understanding of global cultures and the oral tradition. This unique residency supports core English Language Arts and Social Studies curriculum goals by using high-quality performance art to promote cultural competence and literacy. This innovative program promotes excellence in education by offering a high-impact, memorable cultural experience for all students. The residency will leave lasting skills and resources with both students and educators at Charter Oak.
