Forbes Flyers, a nationally recognized demonstration and competitive jump rope team, will spend two days in-residence at Smith School. The project will include a school wide assembly “Kick-Off”, instructional workshops with each class and a Family-Jump Nite for the entire school community. Students will learn about the evolution of jump rope games, integrate their own jump rope routines and rhymes with their own creative writing and lay the ground work for a fun and very beneficial physical activity. In addition, the entire district will benefit with a teacher in- service workshop for the town PE staff.
