Foundation Fun Day
What does it cost to attend? Nothing! The Foundation Fun Day is free to attend!
Who should come to the Foundation Fun Day? Everyone! There will be games and activities for adults and children of all ages.
When is the Foundation Fun Day? Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Where is the Foundation Fun Day? West Hartford Town Hall parking lot, on the back side of Town Hall at 50 South Main Street. Rain location will be the Auditorium inside Town Hall.
Where can I park for the Foundation Fun Day? There may be some limited parking at the Town Hall parking lot. There is also street parking available on Main Street, Raymond Road and Burr Street as well as town owned lots in Blue Back Square and West Hartford Center. Standard parking fees will apply.
What time does the Foundation Fun Day begin? 11:00 a.m.
What time does the Foundation Fun Day end? 1:00 p.m.
What time is the Raffle drawing? 12:30 p.m.
Will there be food at the Foundation Fun Day? Yes, there will be food available for purchase.
What does it mean to be a Friend of the Foundation Fun Day? Friends of the Foundation Fun Day are donors of $125 or more. Thanks to generous in-kind donors the first 125 Friends of the Foundation Fun Day will receive a special thank you gift.
The Raffle
How do I buy a raffle ticket? Raffle tickets are available here online through April 21 and will also be available for purchase at the Foundation Fun Day.
How much is a raffle ticket? Raffle tickets are $25 each. If purchasing online, payment must be by credit card. On the day of the event, we will accept cash, check or credit cards but cash is preferred. All funds raised from the raffle will be used to provide financial support for educational projects, programs and initiatives for the West Hartford Public Schools.
How many raffle tickets can I buy? As many as you’d like! There are only 600 raffle tickets available.
What are the raffle prizes? 1st prize: $500 Amazon gift card. 2nd prize: One night stay at the Delamar in West Hartford with breakfast for two plus a $200 Doro Restaurant Group gift card. 3rd prize: Weekday photo session with IRIS Photography plus a $75 product credit or one 8 x 10 print.
When is the raffle drawing? Saturday, April 22 at 12:30 p.m during the Foundation Fun Day at the West Hartford Town Hall.
Do I need to be present at the drawing to win? No, the winner does not need to be present to win.
How will the proceeds from the raffle be used? All funds raised from the raffle will be used to provide financial support for educational projects, programs and initiatives for the West Hartford Public Schools.
The Scavenger Hunt
When can my team start the scavenger hunt? The Hunt opens Saturday, April 15 at noon. Your team can start hunting as soon as the Hunt opens.
How long does my team have to complete the scavenger hunt? The Hunt will conclude Saturday, April 22 at noon.
The scavenger hunt has already started, can I still register? Yes. You can register for the scavenger hunt up to April 21.
Do I need to be able to drive to participate in the scavenger hunt? No. While some of the questions are easiest to answer if you can visit the locations around town, with a little bit of creativity you should be able to gather the answers without needing to drive.
What do I have to do to sign up for the scavenger hunt? You will need to register for the Hunt to participate. You can register on the Foundation’s website at www.fwhps.org.
Does it cost anything to register for the scavenger hunt? Yes, $25 for a team of up to 4 people. (Please note that your team may be bigger if there are more than 4 people in your immediate family).
How will the proceeds from the scavenger hunt be used? All funds raised from the Hunt will be used to provide financial support for educational projects, programs and initiatives for the West Hartford Public Schools.
What happens after I register for the scavenger hunt?
You will receive another email before the Hunt opens (or the next business day after your registration is complete, whichever is later) which will contain your Event Code. You will need the Event Code to join the Hunt. In the meantime, please download the Eventzee app to your mobile device.

Will my team be able to access the hunt on different devices?
Your team can access the Eventzee app from multiple devices, or from your computer at eventzeeapp.com. However your team can only use one device at a time to participate in the Hunt. For example, you can access the Hunt from your home computer and answer some questions at home. Then, you can log off of your computer and log on from your mobile device to take the Hunt on the road with you to answer additional questions.
Do I have to assemble a team to participate in the scavenger hunt? No. A “team” can be 1, 2, 3 or 4 people.
I have more than 4 people in my family and we’d like to play together as a team. Is that possible? Yes. If you have more than 4 people in your immediate family who would like to register together as one team, please contact us at fwhps@westhartfordct.gov.
What do I get if my team wins? Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the Hunt at the Foundation Fun Day on Saturday, April 22 at the West Hartford Town Hall parking lot (rain location: Town Hall Auditorium) between 12:15 and 1:00 p.m. Prizes are a surprise, but someone from your team MUST BE PRESENT TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE(S)!!!
Can I attend the Foundation Fun Day if I don’t register for the scavenger hunt? Yes, The more the merrier!
