Art and Technology Enhancing Interdisciplinary Connections

Students at Bristow Middle School will have the opportunity to utilize technology in the Art Room with a variety of lessons and activities that will enhance students' understanding of connections between the disciplines, in particular Music, Language Arts, and Architecture (Math). Five iPads will be purchased for the classroom. The 6th grade students will view the use of text as art and communication. The 7th grade students will use iPads as they explore sea shanties in the music curriculum. The use of the computers will be seen in the students’ artwork - through better lettering, text design, adding drawings found on-line, and more advanced compositions.
