Civic Participation Grant: Capitol Tour and History Museum

To support, enhance and align with the fourth-grade study of state government, this grant covers the cost of transportation to allow all fourth graders at Wolcott Elementary School the opportunity for a trip to the Connecticut State Capitol Building. Student will tour the chambers where both the Senate and House of Representatives meet and learn about both the historical significance of the Capitol and its modern-day operation. Following a tour of the Capitol, students will also visit the nearby Connecticut History Museum for a self-guided tour and scavenger hunt highlighting important aspects and milestones in Connecticut history.
