Jonathan Gibson and Chiaw Eei Ng Gibson Grant: Go Green: Lights, Camera, Action!

This grants funds the purchase of a green screen kit and monitor for Charter Oak Elementary School students to use to write, create and produce videos. One component will be daily video production utilizing student reporters that will then be uploaded to the school’s homepage for viewing at home. In addition to teaching technology, the students will also develop presentation skills, including oral reading fluency and expression, volume, clarity and non-verbal communication such as eye contact and gesturing. Further, the students will write, rewrite, revise and edit the material that will be recorded in a collaborative environment.
