Hall High School Biology/Environmental Studies staff and the special education staff will partner in developing a career pathway in the area of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources. This project is teaching students valuable lessons in composting food and garden waste through the use of worm composting stations. With composting stations established and producing quality castings, the collaboration shifts to establishing a micro-business selling worm castings to local gardeners. This project will enhance the curriculum alignment which exists between the high school's special education, the post-secondary program, and Auer Farm Greenhouse. Additionally, students in environmental classes are exposed to environmentally-friendly ways to remove waste from the waste stream.
