Students at Whiting Lane School will learn from a procession of authors throughout the school year. Authors Deborah Freedman, Bill Thomson and Julie Phillips will come to the school at regular intervals to inspire and motivate the students. Students, after listening to the authors and reading their books, will try their hands at writing their own pieces. This exposure to literature will result in both increased test scores and an increase in their students’ love and appreciation of literature.
