Students at Sedgwick will soon have the opportunity to bring their creative ideas to life using a state-of-the-art laser engraver. This exciting new technology will enhance hands-on learning in 8th grade Technology & Engineering classes, allowing students to design and produce custom items such as plaques, signs, keychains, and more. The project promotes 21st-century skills like design thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. In addition to classroom use, students will support school initiatives by creating items for athletic teams, staff recognition, and special events. This innovative program not only enriches the curriculum but also fosters a strong sense of school pride and community connection. With support from the Foundation, students will gain valuable experience using real-world tools that inspire creativity and prepare them for future careers.
