Austin Dailey brings Poetry in Motion through Hip Hop and Break Dancing to K-5th graders at Duffy Elementary School. Students will be educated on the history, culture, foundation and the dance styles of Hip Hop. Promoting self-esteem and team-building are integral parts of their workshops. This week long workshop will tap into the students creativity during the movement program. They will learn to be involved, reflective, supported and supportive learners throughout the week. The curriculum connections for this residency includes social studies, science dance, physical education and music.
