Sedgwick’s seventh grade students will be engaging in "Share Your Voice": an interdisciplinary podcast challenge to bolster inquiry, writing, and presentation skills. In collaborative groups, students will produce original podcasts that include relevant research and their perspectives about community and global issues. Podcasts will be recorded with high quality microphones and sound equipment, and students will be encouraged to create and record their own music and sound effects. Students will submit their podcasts to nationwide competitions - The NPR Podcast Challenge and the New York Times Student Podcast Contest.
