Carson Family Foundation Grant: Increasing Student Independence through the use of Technology

This grant will fund 2 flip smart boards, in two different classrooms, to be used in our program. This will enable students to access the complete curriculum by viewing PowerPoints, vocabulary lessons, and a variety of videos. In addition to the curriculum, teachers will be able to use the smart board to teach other skills including: reading CT Transit bus schedules, looking at restaurant menus, reading grocery store fliers, and using O*Net, which is a resource for obtaining employment.
