With a class set of Makeblock Starter Robots all 7th graders at Sedgwick will have the opportunity to build and program their own robots in addition to designing an electrical circuit. Robotics instruction offers students an exciting platform for learning about areas rich with career opportunities spanning science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). In addition it fosters development of teamwork, critical thinking ,troubleshooting, and problem solving. The Makeblock Starter Robot will provide a more advanced program than the current Lego Robotics kits and will allow for a more consistent vertical alignment with robotics from middle school to high school .
