Crate & Barrel Grant: Let's experience CT!

This grant will fund an enhancement to the 4th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies Civics Curriculum. 4th grade students at Whiting Lane Elementary School will enjoy a trip to downtown Hartford for visits to the CT State Capitol, the Legislative Office Building, Museum of CT History and the Supreme Court. While viewing sites and displays focusing on government, inventions, industry and military history, students will participate in a scavenger hunt to assess their understanding. They will use this information after the trip to write a final project about a significant person, place or event in CT history.
