Led by curiosity and driven by personal choice, soft start mornings allow students to explore their strengths, be creative, and build meaningful relationships with their classmates. This is done through collaboration and communication all while providing a calm start to the day. Rather than starting the day with traditional morning work, students will have creative options to participate in. A soft start morning allows children to feel in control of their learning environment from the first moments in the classroom and lets them choose activities that will help them feel successful. Soft starts not only help students practice mindfulness by selecting activities that will help ease their minds, it also prepares them for the day of learning ahead.
