Document Camera Throughout the Curriculum

  • School Year: 2013-2014
  • Applicants: Amy Fisher
  • School: Wolcott
  • Subjects: Technology

This grant funds the implementation of a document camera in one of Wolcott’s 4th grade classrooms, offering students an additional means for learning. The document camera will provide students the ability to view documents and interactively complete assignments through modeling and guided practice as a class. With the use of the document camera, items can be immediately displayed, without the need to scan or retype information into the computer. Any document or item can be displayed, including raw student work samples, text books, illustrations, personal items, and artifacts, as well as manipulatives for math and science. Document cameras help lessons become more interactive, visually stimulating, and timely.
