A school garden project reaches many academic qualities such as sciences, literature, arts, socialization, and self sufficiency. Having the students of STRIVE participate from seeding to harvesting, seeing the abundant growth and tasting the results of their hard work is an amazing achievement for all involved. The students become very excited when they see the gardens grow with abundance! With new materials we will be able to produce more varieties of lettuce and herbs, which we use in our Intro to Foods class.
