The Birds of Prey interactive presentation will give students insight into how living things go through a process of change in order to survive. Third grade students at Charter Oak International Academy will understand how these birds face many obstacles to survive and our charge to share the planet responsibly. Our science curriculum will be enhanced by this rich, unique experience not available through book or internet research. Students will be able to speak and write about the experience of meeting the birds firsthand, participate in detailed discourse, analyze photographs, and share their knowledge with the school community through their informative and opinion writing, in an effort to make a difference.
