Students at the School Engagement Program participate in a classroom community that consistently promotes positive coping skills, appropriate social skills and supports students to be social and intellectual risk takers in learning. Participating in a Ropes Course Challenge will allow for approximately 10-12 students and 2-4 staff with an educational opportunity that will support students taking risks physically and emotionally. This activity will compliment our program curriculum as well as serve as a culminating activity to socialization groups students have participated in regarding perseverance and taking risks. The students will be supported to step outside of their comfort zone to experience an activity that can build character, increase their self esteem and create a greater cohesive classroom community.
