Rachna Agrawal, in-residence artist, will bring her Kathak Dance program to the students at the Remote Learning Experience Elementary School. This program celebrates the culture of India by showcasing the intricate classical dance of North India. Kathak Dance is the art of telling stories through dance which includes the “improvisation of complex metrical cross rhythms and syllables.” In addition to Kathak Dance, students will learn about the culture of India through this dynamic performance.
