Funds from the Chromebooks to Choice Books grant will expand classroom libraries at King Philip, providing equitable access to diverse, high-interest texts for seventh-grade students. The grant supports the Choice Reading initiative, giving students ten minutes daily in learning lab for independent, self-selected reading. By increasing daily reading time, this program strengthens literacy skills, builds motivation, and fosters a lifelong love of reading. It also ensures that every student has access to high-quality books, supporting both engagement and achievement. With this funding, students will develop stronger reading habits and deepen their literacy growth, directly benefiting classroom instruction and long-term learning outcomes.
