Goldbeck Family Grant: Art Museum and Studio Experience Field Trip

All 4th and 5th-grade students at Webster Hill Elementary School will visit the New Britain Museum of American Art. They will be led on a tour of multiple collections including works from the Colonial Period, the Hudson River School, Impressionism, and 20th-century masterpieces. Students will then participate in a studio session, where they'll create a narrative collection collage and explore fundamental storytelling elements, including plot, setting, and character development. Cross curricular connections will be made through language arts and writing.
