Our students will explore the world of Super Scintillating Science! This grant will help Norfeldt students understand the world around them with a hands on approach to explore, engage, explore, elaborate and evaluate. This 5E model defines the Next Generation Science Standards which West Hartford believes in. Children will attend a field study from Roaring Brook Nature Center to learn about animal super senses, engage in hands on engineering in the classroom, observe and notice animals as well as read and discover about them as well. They will learn about life cycles by observing metamorphosis of butterflies and watching chicks hatching in the classroom.
