Reading non fiction is an essential life skill for all adults. Adults need to be able to read information from so many areas, newspapers, on-line articles, and even charts and graphs. This grant gives longer, chapter length non fiction books to students to use in book clubs. Duffy fifth graders will read and discuss these books that connect to the science and social studies curriculum with their peers and teachers.
