Over the course of the school year West Hartford middle school students and staff will be invited to participate in ten virtual author visits with a diverse group of inspiring middle-grade authors! There will be promotion of the authors and their books, which may have curriculum connections, be Nutmeg nominees, or be perfect middle grade stories, throughout the year by providing both print and digital copies. Virtual author visits are a magical way to connect students, teachers, and families and always leave a lasting impression on all who attend them. These visits will become a cornerstone of our work to continue to build a culture of reading in West Hartford.
