This grant funds the purchase of two (2) HoverCam NEO3 Document Cameras for use in K-5 classrooms at Whiting Lane. This innovative piece of technology offers versatility and portability and boasts many state of the art modifications to enhance learning in the classroom. Document cameras enhance the overall learning environment. This high resolution dual camera allows materials regardless of size to be projected on a screen for all to see, regardless of seating assignment in the classroom. It allows teachers to share limited resources typically reserved for small group instruction with the entire class simultaneously. The NEO3 also gives students the ability to record their presentations, speeches, and work product. It will allow students to share and record their thinking simultaneously while presenting their tangible work.
