Fourth graders at Charter Oak will participate in a transdisciplinary unit on cultures from around the world. As part of this unit, Rachna Agrawal , a performance artist from India, will visit the school to explore a wide variety of aspects of Indian culture:traditional dance, storytelling, music, art, artifacts, clothing and customs. As part of the program, she will teach students to perform a traditional Indian storytelling dance. After the workshop, students will use the experience as background for their own folktale projects which will be shared at the Charter oak International Night.
