Students at Sedgwick Middle School will have the opportunity to participate in an after school technology club integrating science, technology, engineering and mathematics concepts through co-curricular activities, competitions and related programs. The students choose from a variety of projects such as a CO2- powered dragster with precise specifications for their investigation and construction. This grant will provide a scroll saw and bench drill press and table which will be directly assessable to students and the teacher. The students will learn proper use and safety of power tools while being able to manufacture a project that is entirely their own in the classroom and the teacher will be able to more easily and directly supervise all students.
