Young children learn best through active learning. Due to covid safety limitations, our students are not able to have the amount of movement they need. Our second and third graders are spending the majority of their day sitting at their desks. We have an alternative! Alternative seating! Balance ball seats, wobble cushions, wobble chairs, and ergonomic bouncing chairs! Students will be taught how these seats can enhance their learning. Our hope is that these alternative seating options will foster good posture, increase focus and attention, and improve work stamina and productivity. We hope that these options decrease students’ stress and anxiety levels - all in a developmentally appropriate way! We are making the best of this SITuation!
