At Hall High School, students explored social change, language, culture, and history through the study of traditional dances from Costa Rica, Argentina, Spain, and Peru, thanks to the generous support of the Foundation for West Hartford Public Schools. Through lively steps, partner exchanges, and shared laughter, students built deeper connections with one another while embracing new cultural perspectives. This dynamic experience strengthened our sense of community, energized the classroom environment, and fostered collaboration and communication. As students actively engaged in the rhythms and movements of Swing Criollo, Tango, Sevillanas, and Huayno, they deepened their understanding of each dance's multicultural roots and opened their hearts to greater acceptance, curiosity, and global awareness.
