Colleen Casey- Nelson, world music specialist from CCSU and the Hartt School of Music, will emphasize Japanese songs, stories, and dances with the second grade students at Bugbee during their Japan Day celebration. These experiences will certainly enhance their understanding of the Japanese culture and history. Ms. Casey- Nelson will spend time in each classroom as well as with the entire second grade. As a result of this interactive experience, the children will be able to compare Japanese culture to American culture.
