This grant will support bringing Austin Dailey to Aiken Elementary School for a k-5th grade in residence program. Austin Dailey is spreading an important message about being active and taking care of yourself to our young children of West Hartford. The plan is for Austin Dailey to spend a week in Physical Education classes teaching hip hop dance while having meaningful conversation with students about eating right, getting sleep, and the importance of self advocacy regarding health. This project is aligned with the PE curriculum standards and national PE standards.
