This grant funds one copy of "Quit Like a Millionaire" to each Financial Literacy student at Hall High School. The authors, Kristy Shen and Bryce Leung, describe how an impoverished childhood sparked a strong scarcity mindset and utilized S.M.A.R.T goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-frame) to become financially free by age 31. They saved, budgeted, and followed a simple plan. No magic trick here - they just used the principals we teach in Financial Literacy class! Numerous analyses, group debates, assigned readings, and passionate lessons will be taught linking the book to our curriculum.
