This grant funds supplies needed to implement bookmaking in the classroom. Students at Charter Oak International Academy will have access to various materials and forms of books to utilize during the publishing step of the writing process. They will be able to use a variety of formats to convey writing across the curriculum through narrative, informational and opinion writing. With each child publishing several books over the course of the year, our classroom library will be enriched with these new texts. Students will learn from one another as they read the various published work.
