- Subjects: Visual Arts, Language Arts, Technology
This grant will provide students in High School with the opportunity to become exposed to an industry that will result in each student being more technologically savvy as well as open their eyes to the myriad of vocational possibilities available to them as they prepare for post secondary educational and employment opportunities. Students are often limited to the opportunities available to them due to economic constraints and lack of access. Many students are unaware of their own potential due to their lack of exposure to technology often sought after by employers. This grant will help them to open their eyes to how their skills can be honed and can lead them in to numerous technology avenues. This grant will provide students opportunities to meet with individuals in the video production field, travel to local tech schools to learn about programs in the technology field, and produce their own films using the information they gather through the course.
