Acclaimed author Ruta Sepetys will visit virtually with eighth-grade students at Sedgwick Middle School to answer their questions and describe the deeply personal research process behind her award-winning works of historical fiction. The students have the opportunity to read several of Ms. Sepetys’ thrilling and heartbreaking novels for English, including I Must Betray You, Salt to the Sea, and Between Shades of Grey. The books inspire great conversation, and meeting the author will enhance the literary experience, and will persuade students to read more of her books as well as other historical fiction titles to continue to increase their understanding of the world in which they live.
