This grant funds 30 six leg ball chairs for student use in K-5 classrooms at Whiting Lane Elementary School. Students will use the ball chair at their desks and back tables in lieu of the regular metal chairs supplied by the district. The chairs will be equally divided among the grades. The ball chair essentially allows children to burn off excess energy while staying engaged, thus improving their learning and increasing their focus, attention and participation.
