For many students, sitting down all day is very difficult. Stand up desks provide opportunity for movement which can lead to better achievement and feelings of wellness. This innovative grant will fund a pilot program for four stand up desks to be used by students in seventh grade at Sedgwick Middle School. Student behavior and time on task will be monitored as well as the positive impact on the class environment. The goal is that by using these desks student academic work will improve.
