A greenhouse will be purchased at Bugbee Elementary School to be used the entire year for students to grow flowers and vegetables for the school community. Curriculum connections for all grade levels will be implemented, such as having third graders grow corn, beans and squash to enrich their study of Native Americans. After school and recess opportunities will be another benefit of the greenhouse . In addition, health and nutrition benefits will come from this endeavor as students will grow vegetables that they can then eat in the cafeteria.
