Seritage Growth Properties Grant: Diverse Author Visit

Students at Aiken Elementary School will have the pleasure of author and illustrator Mike Curato coming to visit their school. During his presentation Mike will read one of his diverse titles and discuss his creative writing process and backstory with students. Students will not only be exposed to diverse literature, but also an author and illustrator with a diverse background himself. This will be an amazing program for all students that hopefully leaves a desire to tap into their own creativity through the writing and illustration process.
