The "Cultivating Minds and Hearts" project seeks to create an inclusive learning environment by adding a greenhouse to our existing raised garden beds. This greenhouse will provide hands-on learning experiences in environmental science, biology, and ecology, fostering students’ independence, responsibility, and life skills. It will promote inclusivity by bringing special education students and their peers together for shared gardening activities, while also aligning with Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The project will be used by the garden club, special education classes, and science and health classes, enriching academic engagement, social-emotional well-being, and environmental awareness. By purchasing and installing a Yardistry Greenhouse, we aim to extend our growing season and promote long-term sustainability through community partnerships.
