West Hartford Education Association Grant: Mini Projector and iPad for Physical Education

This grant funds the purchase of a mini projector and iPad for Webster Hill Elementary School for use in Physical Education classes. The mini projector is a hand held projector that can be connected to the iPad in order to project images to an entire class. The images/videos used will show athletes performing the skills the students are learning, from learning the techniques for an overhand throw to analyzing an Olympic triple jumper. The older children in the school will also review videos of their performance of certain skills in order to see their own growth and mastery of the skill. In the dance unit, the teacher will be able to show the students the authentic cultural dances as they begin to learn those.
