This grant proposal provides ThinkFun games to develop critical thinking skills in children at Morley Elementary School. The games, which build quantitative and deductive reasoning, increase in challenge as students progress. Complementary lessons on Growth Mindset and neuroplasticity will teach students that their brains can grow and that mistakes aid learning. These games promote productive struggle, helping students build stamina, resilience, and self-management skills. Research has shown significant improvements in analogical and quantitative reasoning in schools using these games. By fostering a growth mindset, the initiative aims to enhance student motivation and grit.
